In the glass, the bourbon delights with its dark copper hue, transitioning slightly into orange. On the nose, notes of sugar and molasses dominate, with a hint of oak. Shortly after, hints of apple emerge. Taste-wise, the sweetness of caramelized sugar is initially apparent, followed by a dry nuttiness reminiscent of pecans. This unfolds into a rich volume on the palate. The finish is medium-length, with oak and various Christmas spices coming through. Towards the end, a buttery note makes itself known. The Wheel Horse is best enjoyed neat or with a touch of water to refine it. Its alcohol content is 50.5% ABV.
