This wonderfully sweet wine from the Tokaj region in Hungary is made from the Furmint grape. The grape is characterized by its adaptability to the continental climate and the volcanic soils of the region. The grape is also known for its ability to develop Botrytis cinerea (noble rot), which contributes to the production of noble sweet wines. This particular form of rot concentrates the aromas and sugars in the grapes, resulting in the characteristically sweet and complex Tokaji wines.

This Tokaj Furmint has a rich golden yellow color in the glass. The wine has clear and distinct citrus notes such as tangerine or lemon peel and some dried pine. On the palate, the noticeable sweetness is balanced by a pleasant acidity. The wine also has a pronounced aroma of ripe mandarins and dried fruit on the palate. The aromas are complemented by mineral notes and a hint of white pepper.
