The aroma evokes toffee, sherry, mint, citrus fruits, and maritime notes. In the background, there are also hints of smoke and vanilla. On the palate, this whisky is sweet and very robust, with flavors of pepper, citrus fruits, herbal tea, and dried fruits. Additionally, licorice and peaty-smoky notes are discernible.
The finish is very long, with again sweet and spicy flavors gently accompanied by smoke.
Overall, this single malt Scotch is exceedingly complex, with spicy and fruity aromas, making it best enjoyed neat or on the rocks. This allows its entire flavor profile to be perfectly savored.
