In addition to the typical pepper notes of Syrah, this deeply colored wine from Zünd also features aromas of dark and pickled berries, as well as some spices. The minimum 18-month maturation in barrique imparts additional depth and complexity to the wine. This powerhouse pairs well with game and dark meats. It also holds its own admirably with robust mushroom dishes. The wine showcases its best qualities 3-6 years after being crafted.
