This highly traditional rye whiskey was made entirely from malted rye and is a blend of whiskeys aged between two and a half and five and a half years in new and used toasted oak barrels.
It is bottled at 51.2% ABV. The deep golden color evokes that of a rich dessert wine.

The Old Potrero 18th Century develops a multi-layered character on the nose. Grainy aromas of grain and yeast as well as a little honey form an interesting combination and are accompanied by the smell of dried peaches. It is sharp on the palate, with a honey note preceding the cereal. The fruit now becomes darker and tends towards blackberry.
The finish is spicy, followed by oak and fruit.
This whiskey is too good to mix and should be enjoyed neat or on ice.
