Various cherry varieties from the Swiss cherry region Zug-Zugersee form the basis of the Zuger Kirsch. Nine kilograms of cherries are distilled to produce 70 cl of the fruit brandy.
The distillate matures for twelve to twenty-four months in stainless steel tanks before being bottled.
