The Duke Double Barrel Rye Founder's Reserve is a Kentucky Rye Whiskey. It spent its 9-year maturation in exceptionally high-quality oak barrels. Previously, French Grand Cru wine was stored in the charred barrels, imparting exceptionally refined flavor profiles to the whiskey. The rye whiskey received its finish in a barrel that once held exquisite Cabernet. The term 'Double Barrel' refers to this transition. The cellar master selected only the finest wine barrels.
