The venerable distillery is the second oldest production site in the country. A distinctive feature is its location: Nikka operates the only whisky distillery on the northern Hokkaido Peninsula. In addition to the two branches in Miyagikyo and Hokkaido, the Scottish Ben Nevis Distillery is part of the corporation. In Japan, the brand is among the leading providers of exquisite single malt whiskies aged between 10 and 20 years.
