The enactment of new legislation brought an end to production for nearly a hundred years. During this time, the government confiscated almost 950 liters of Bourbon Whiskey from Kentucky Owl. Nevertheless, the operators managed to clandestinely retain some barrels and stored them away. Unfortunately, during the period of shutdown, the warehouse was destroyed by a devastating fire. In the flames, not only did the building perish, but the secret reserves were also lost.
Decades later, under the great-great-great-grandson of Charles, the company experienced a renaissance. Since 2017, Bourbon Whiskey has once again been crafted at the distillery. In the same year, the new owner built a distillery in the city of Bardstown. Today, the brand is part of the US-based Stoli Group USA, LLC. The varieties are released as strictly limited special editions. Some of the creations age between 12 and 17 years, while the Kentucky Straight Bourbons range from 4 to 8 years old. The spirits from Kentucky Owl LLC are praised globally by both whiskey enthusiasts and critics for their exceptional quality.
