Founded by the entrepreneurs Williams & Sons in 1897, it is situated in close proximity to the renowned distilleries Balvenie and Glenfiddich.
In 1902, Glendullan became a supplier to the British royal household and changed ownership several times over the years.
Today, the distillery is owned by the internationally operating spirits conglomerate Diageo and has been primarily operating under the label "Singleton" since 2007.
It is one of the largest distilleries of Diageo, specializing primarily in blended whiskies.
