The Glen Moray Distillery is located in the town of Elgin in the far northeast of Scotland (Speyside). It is supplied with the necessary water by the River Lossie.

It was founded in 1897 as a new production site for the distiller Glen Moray Glenlivet Distillery Co. Ltd., involving the conversion of a brewery. Over time, the owners carried out extensive construction and expansions. Since 2008, the Scottish whisky brand has been owned by the spirits manufacturer La Martiniquaise. The distillation takes place in wash stills and spirit stills. The whiskies are sold for various blends and are partially marketed as single malts under their own name.
