In 2009, Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits announced the expansion of their award-winning company to include spirits in their portfolio. All whiskeys under the Redemption brand feature a high rye content, giving them a distinct, aromatic, and spicy flavor. The name Redemption reflects the idea that rye regains its original status in whiskey production, as before Prohibition, rye was the best-selling type of whiskey.
