Two years after its founding, Aultmore distillery came under the ownership of Oban & Aultmore-Glenlivet Distilleries. In the early 1910s, the distillery was acquired by John Dewar & Sons. In the 1970s, a significant renovation took place on the premises, during which two new stills were installed. Since 1998, Aultmore has been part of the Bacardi group. The Auchinderran Burn river serves as the water source for whisky production. The malt is sourced from local suppliers. The distillery produces few proprietary bottlings, with the majority of its production being used for blends.
